What's New for 2027 Honda Models in Las Cruces: Civic Sport-L, a Taller Passport TrailSport and More Hybrids
If you commute on I-25, drive to class at NMSU or head up Dripping Springs Road on weekends, the 2027 Honda lineup has something new to look at. The Civic adds a Sport-L trim, the Passport TrailSport gets a reengineered suspension and 1.38 inches more ground clearance, and Honda has announced a next-generation hybrid system. Honda is rolling out the 2027 model year model by model, so here is what's new, what is still a 2026, and how to see it in Las Cruces.
Everything below comes from Honda announcements as of October 30, 2026, with a few details from dealer and trade summaries. We don't list prices here. Our inventory pages and specials show current pricing, and our team can help with financing, trade-ins and certified pre-owned options.
What's new for the Civic?
The Civic is Honda's compact car, and the 2027 model adds more to choose from.
- Sedan and Hatchback: the 2027 models are starting to arrive at Honda dealers.
- New Sport-L trim: joins the lineup by the end of the year, adding leather, power-adjustable and heated front seats and dual-zone climate control.
- Honda S+ Shift: the Civic Sport Touring Hybrid gets this drive mode for more engaging acceleration and shifting.

What's new for Honda SUVs?
- Passport TrailSport: a completely reengineered suspension raises ground clearance to 9.65 inches (up 1.38 inches) and improves approach, breakover and departure angles. Honda says 28 suspension and chassis parts are redesigned, reengineered or new. TrailWatch cameras and a heated steering wheel are standard across the TrailSport trims, there is a new exterior color, and the 3.5L V6 continues. Honda says TrailSport trims make up more than 80% of Passport sales.
- CR-V and CR-V Hybrid: Honda lists the CR-V as a 2027 model, and dealer summaries say it carries over. The gas CR-V comes in LX, EX and EX-L, and the hybrid in Sport, Sport-L, TrailSport and Sport Touring trims, with available all-wheel drive.
- HR-V: Honda lists the 2027 HR-V in LX, Sport and EX-L trims with a 158-horsepower 2.0L engine and available all-wheel drive. Dealer summaries say it carries over largely unchanged.
Features vary by trim and arrive at different times. Ask us what's on the lot.
What about the Accord, Prelude, Odyssey, Pilot, Ridgeline and Prologue?
- Prelude: Honda's hybrid sport coupe is listed as a 2027 model.
- Odyssey: listed as a 2027 model, with its power sliding doors and Magic Slide second-row seats intact.
- Accord, Pilot, Ridgeline and Prologue: still 2026 models in the sources we checked. Ask us when the 2027s arrive.
The Prologue is Honda's electric SUV. If electric is on your list, ask us about range and charging for the way you drive, with no pressure either way.
What's coming next?
- A next-generation hybrid system. Honda has announced a new hybrid system, called Honda Hybrid, along with its first e-AWD system with no driveshaft, for midsize vehicles. Honda has said the system is already developed, and trade reports say it will reach the next wave of models.
- An all-new CR-V. Trade reports say a redesigned 2028 CR-V is scheduled to launch in spring 2027, and it is not yet clear whether it will be hybrid-only.
Honda hasn't confirmed dates or models for everything above. We'll tell you as it does.
